Where is Tails of Holland Green dog run?
Tails of Holland Green is on State land near Holland Road and Holland Plain. Singapore Land Authority's opening announcement identifies the project as a partnership with the People's Association and Ulu Pandan CCC, and describes double gates, solar lighting and benches.
That announcement does not publish operating hours. We could not confirm a current official hours notice for this run, so check the gate signs or ask the community organiser before making a special trip. Do not use the nearby linear park's name or opening hours as confirmation of the enclosure's hours. Bring water and plan a permitted alternative if the gate is closed.

The Jurong Lake Gardens services page makes the hours distinction explicit: Lakeside Garden is open 24 hours, but its attractions keep separate hours. It also says pets are not permitted on the garden shuttle, so do not build your dog's journey around that service.
For other locations, start with NParks' parks-for-pets directory, then open the specific park page. A pet-friendly park listing alone does not establish that it has an off-leash enclosure. For mall or town-council runs, check the operator's own current rules and gate notices.
Decide whether to enter when you arrive
Treat the outing as optional. You can leave without using the enclosure if the conditions do not suit your dog.
- Read the gate notice. Confirm that this enclosure is open and that any size, health or entry conditions are met. Do not enter a closed section because the wider park is open.
- Look at the dogs already inside. Consider crowding, play style and your dog's reaction. A smaller enclosure is not a guarantee of a suitable group.
- Check the route home. Know how you will leave promptly if the dog becomes uncomfortable or the weather changes. Bring your own water, bowl, lead and waste bags.
NParks' dog-run guidance asks for healthy dogs without open wounds, current vaccinations, appropriate behaviour and dogs that are sterilised or not in heat. Supervise throughout, clean up and ask permission before interacting with another dog. Its muzzle requirement for scheduled breeds still applies inside runs.
Use the gates carefully
Follow the AVS double-gate guidance: wait your turn, check the space is clear, then remove the lead between the gates. Secure the gates and reattach the lead before returning to the park.
AVS discourages toys and human food. Follow stricter venue rules where posted. Its advice is to keep under-12s outside; supervise children who enter.
Small dogs, puppies and hot weather
AVS recommends positive, controlled socialisation before visiting. If your dog cowers, tries to escape or becomes tense, leave the situation. Ask your vet about a puppy’s health readiness. There is no need to make entering the run the measure of a successful outing.
Choose conditions your dog can tolerate and keep the visit flexible. A quiet afternoon can still be hot; an early or late time is not a guarantee of safe conditions. For a dog with breathing problems or other health needs, ask your vet to help plan suitable activity. Avoid turning a visit into a fixed exercise target.
